	Extension Cords Policies and Safety Procedures
	Extension cords are to be used for “temporary” applications only. Contact the Work Control Center (ext. 4-4754) if you need a new outlet placed in your area. Multiple-outlet strips / surge protectors may be utilized as needed, however they are not to be connected “end-to-end” to provide additional outlets. Again, if you need additional power outlets in your area, please contact Work Control. Extension cords and multiple-outlet surge protectors are available at the campus Grainger Industrial Supply, located on the North side of Physical Plant. These items are paid for at your department’s expense.
